I joined Brian Adams on WHMP’s Talk the Talk this morning to talk about renewable energy siting — specifically, the local and state decisions that shape where onshore wind and solar projects get built, and why those decisions matter so much for whether we meet our climate goals.
We covered a lot of ground, including how renewable energy permitting actually works (spoiler: it’s mostly a local and state process, not a federal one), the real trade-offs communities face when they say yes or no to a project, and what the research says about getting energy policy right.
